Homework Help is a standing weekly time when your student brings whatever school sent home, and we work through it together. No curriculum of mine, no long-term plan. Just the assignment in front of them, and someone in their corner while they do it.

School moves at its own pace, and it doesn't wait for a student who needs one more day with something. Homework Help is the hour when they catch up. A reliable weekly time with someone who can explain what the teacher moved past too quickly and who will sit with them while they get it done.
Your student brings the math worksheet, the reading log, the essay that's due Thursday, the study guide for Friday's test. We work through it together, and they leave having actually finished something.
Along the way, they pick up more than the assignment. How to start when a task feels too big. How to check their own work. How to ask a better question in class tomorrow.

WHAT A SESSION LOOKS LIKE
Fifty minutes, one-on-one.
Your student arrives with their own materials, and we start with whatever is most urgent. If they finish early, we use the time to get ahead or shore up something shaky.
I don't send homework of my own. The work we do is the work school sends home.
Sessions are one-on-one, in Davis County, Utah.
WHAT I’LL ALWAYS TELL YOU
If the homework isn’t really the problem, you’ll hear it from me.
Sometimes a student struggles with an assignment because the assignment is hard. Sometimes it's because something underneath it never quite set — a skill from an earlier grade that the current work depends on.
If I see that, I'll tell you as soon as I notice it. Early, and plainly, rather than after a year of sessions. Homework Help can carry a student a long way, but it works on what's in front of us. When the real obstacle is further back, Word Slayer or Math Slayer is the honest answer, and I'd rather say so than keep quiet.
You're never obligated to change anything. You deserve to know what I'm seeing.
